Salty Lids started with a simple problem: I wanted a better aquarium lid for my own tank.

After losing fish to jumping, I looked at the options available and knew I wanted something cleaner, stronger, and more refined — a lid that felt like part of the aquarium rather than an afterthought.

Today, Salty Lids produces precision-CNC-machined polycarbonate lids designed for popular aquarium models from Red Sea, Waterbox, Innovative Marine, UNS, Fluval, and more. Our standardized configurations and universal cutout system make ordering easier, production faster, and your lid more adaptable as your equipment changes.

I’m Baron Smith, the founder of Salty Lids, a longtime aquarium hobbyist and junior high Social Studies teacher. I still approach every product the same way I did when I built the first lid: make it durable, make it look great, and make the customer experience as simple as possible.
